2012 Golden Ghost Awards RESULTS!!!!

The results are in and we’re very proud to present a lengthy page with comments and tabulations for all of our contestants.

We ask only one thing from our winners…when we ship your awards in about 2 weeks time and you receive them, we’re requesting an acceptance video from a person or group representing your project.  Last year’s winners didn’t comply with this request very well and we feel it is a small request considering the considerable effort put forth to put this contest together to help gain exposure for Ghostbusters fandom and your fan films while earning a decent-sized donation for our charity.

Startling Update from Judge Ernie Hudson on Delay…

Folks, we got an update on the phone from Ernie Hudson last night regarding the Golden Ghost Awards and were shocked to find out that Ernie has been battling a major health scare that may have threatened his life if not attended to properly.

He said he was fine with us mentioning that his condition was causing him great enough discomfort to effect his ability to concentrate and view and judge the fan films in our contest. The doctors assure him that they caught the problem early enough to correct it.  He’s asked for a few more days to allow for his condition to stabilize then hopes to resume viewing of the films in our contest so that he can make his selections and comments.

Thus far he’s viewed about 4 out of 12 films.

Ernie felt it wasn’t fair that he was holding up the results, but we assured him on behalf of our judges panel and contestants that we all wanted him to have the time he needs to finish viewing all of the films and that his opinion was very important to us.  We’re giving him all the time he needs to get through both his recovery and this fan film contest.

His last comments to us were to give him a few days and that we’d reassess.

Please send prayers and positive thoughts out to Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore of Ghostbuster lore) as he continues recovering from such a severe medical situation!
